RESTORE WELLBEING
During my sabbatical, I sat down to update Restorative Practices of Wellbeing, which at the age of five years strikes me as dated (lots of COVID-19 talk), physiologically inaccurate (I was still following Polyvagal Theory at the time) and overlong in some places, but was unable to find a way to condense it without losing something of its essential quality.
One morning I was lead to another way of orienting a reader to the essential qualities of restoration that the book is intended to evoke, and like a trail that suddenly opened up through the forest, I found myself following it.
What emerged is spare, slimmed down, and points the way to using the neurological inputs of our everyday moments of quality, clarity, and awareness to nourish the ground of wellbeing.
A bit like Finding Home in Your Nervous System, which I wrote after The Neurobiology of Connection to give people easier access to primary notions of that comprehensive book, it takes essential insights of our work and distills them down into a spare and accessible volume.
120 pages or so, paperback, with full-color imagery.
Preorders open, ships March 15, 2026.
