Various updates
Hi Everybody-
Apologies to anyone who has attempted to find the newsletter the past couple of days. We updated our domain host, and it broke the link between the domain and the site. This has been partially repaired. If you want to visit us online, go to
I’ll let you know once neurobiologyofconnection.com is repaired.
I’m just back from nearly six weeks off, and I’m excited about a number of things that are in process. Over this past weekend I recorded an extraordinary dialogue with embodiment pioneer Philip Shepherd, Developer of the Embodied Present Process. That will be forthcoming for paid subscribers. It is taking place within a larger framework that we are conceptualizing as ‘the craft of being’ (人間クラフト): more on this very soon.
Because a number of people have asked about this, we have recently created a relationship with a publisher in Germany to be able to ship our books within the EU without encountering the extraordinary duties that have resulted from printing in the UK. (The duties have been as expensive as the books themselves.) I’ll be meeting with our book designer next week to start reformatting books from inches to centimeters (sigh), and get the manuscripts prepped to their specifications. I’m hoping to have books available in Europe by mid-March.
I will be traveling to teach more this year. We will be in Portland, Oregon in March, Seattle, Washington in early May, California in late May, France in early June, and Amsterdam in mid-June. There is still space available in these trainings, which range from brief two day trainings to extended 5-day deep-dives (Northern California & France). Will this be the year that you learn autonomics?
Restore Wellbeing is available for preorder, arriving March 1, 2026. (We just sent it off to the printer, I’m waiting for the first proofs.) It came from a thwarted attempt to revise Restorative Practices of Wellbeing, which was feeling a bit dated to me. This is a distilled version of the some of the same ideas, in far fewer words.
For those of you who might not be aware, we released the second book in the Autonomics trilogy last December, GROUND: How Modernity Disconnected from the Living World, Why it Matters, & How to Fix It. In conjunction with the book release, I recorded a podcast with Artem Zen on Elevating Consciousness (episode 67) that deep-dives into the past decade of our work. I prefer the audio version of this– I find the video distracting, honestly. You can get the podcast anywhere you get podcasts. (But here is the youtube link.) It is long-form, about two hours. The first part of the podcast explores The Neurobiology of Connection: the last 45 minutes are focused on GROUND. I feel like this is the most complete exposition of our work that we have done. Artem really did his homework, and the conversation flowed very naturally. If you have a long car trip somewhere, I believe it will keep you good company.
